As Thomas Merton once said, "Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time." For me, creativity is not just a passion; it’s how I connect with the world, express my thoughts, and experience true joy!
Fashion Design
My designs are from research into mens outwear, identifying that there is a gap in the market for a new innovative brand. My ideas developed from my initial research and developing the brand name Octa and using elements of the brand logo in the design. I have started to develop designs for a range of products within the range. Artists like Luke Edward Hall, with his distinctive, playful style, have been particularly influential in my work.

Stage 1 - Initial design ideas. This was were I began brainstorming ideas and creating the first initial sketches.

Stage 3: I then created a concept board using Adobe.

Stage 3 - Turning my sketches to digital designs using Adobe.

Stage 2 - My aesthetic research was visualised using Adobe.

Cars
I love cars, particularly classic and sports cars. My process involved finding images and photography, creating pencil sketches then using water colour to create my dream car.

Initial Pencil Sketching

These are both my photos, taken on an iPhone SE, with no edits made to either one.

Masked
Materials - Black A3 paper
- Acrylic paint
- Water colour pencils
- A zip

In this project, I discovered that I had finished before reaching the endpoint I initially envisioned. Although my work felt incomplete in my mind, it was actually complete in terms of what I aimed to achieve. While working on the face, I realized there was already a face present, just concealed behind a mask. I came to understand that the eyes shouldn't be clear, as they're not in real life; anyone could be behind the mask, and anyone can feel vulnerable and wish to hide away.

Digital - Smile
This work showcases my growth in digital skills, utilising a digital pen and Adobe.

Grimey
This project draws inspiration from grime, showcasing my skills through three pieces created with charcoal, oil pastels, and colored pencils. The image below serves as reference for the project (not my photo). Grime inspired this project to its emphasis on expression and diversity. As I worked on it, I found that the influence of grime enhanced my creativity, whether in the background or the depiction of the two birds in charcoal.

BLINDED - Charcoal drawing - sketching paper - blinded by the money
Not my photo - Reference
During this project I was inspired by a particular album called 'Ignorance is bliss' - by an artist called skepta. The inspiration occurred when I was listening to the album, as I was listening I realised how cool the colour scheme and designs were on the album. I then proceeded to combine the album cover to my reference photo creating a really cool album cover
Kaned
These photos are more than just an image there all moments of madness in movement.

Motion Blur is the technique that captures slow motion. I used to make these images, there all raw images and have had no editing.

Split
This artwork showcases my pencil and drawing skills. This piece holds significant meaning for me, as I recently separated from my partner. While it is not directly about our separation, it reflects how my partner transformed into a different person after we split. I depicted the faces with similar features but included subtle differences, representing how, in terms of physical appearance, she is recognisable, yet in every other aspect, she has become unrecognisable.

Intertwined
Texture - During this piece of work my main focus was to create a texture like feel. I like thisc piece and feel I achieved my aim.

I used aryclic paint and a 20 x 20 canvas

I named this painting Intertwined because I feel when I look this painting it makes me imagine the inside of our brains and body and how everything is connected.

Help
Out of all the pieces I've created, this one holds the most significance for me, which is why I saved it for last.
This artwork represents more than just a creative project; it reflects a difficult period in my life when I felt isolated, struggling with anxiety, depression, and inner turmoil. I see this piece as a retrospective work because it captures that challenging time.
The figure in the piece is designed to represent a prisoner, symbolising how I felt trapped by my own thoughts and emotions.
I've always found it hard to express my thoughts and feelings, but creating this piece helped me through some of my darkest moments. Reflecting on it now reminds me that no matter what challenges you face, with love, resilience, and determination, you can overcome them and come out stronger.
The artwork was created with acrylic paint on card, with the eyes painted using only a paintbrush to capture the intensity of the emotions I wanted to convey.“

About me
My interests span fashion, car design, photography and architecture. I particularly enjoy painting and drawing, as they allow me to experiment with different techniques and express my ideas visually. Beyond my studies, I am an avid mountain climber. My goal for 2025 is to climb a mountain once a month, in preparation for my climb up Kilimanjaro in August. I also enjoy visiting art exhibitions, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
